Dell Grove Emmanuel Lutheran

This small church needed a high quality sound system that would fit their budget. As we often do, we suggested a Bose centralized system.

Often customers say they would like to have a Bose sound system but don't think they can afford it. A properly designed sound system covers the audience area with the fewest speakers possible. The skill of the sound system designer often dictates the cost much more than the cost of the components.

This was the case at the Dell Grove Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

"We love our sound system. It's great!"

We made a computer model of the room using Bose Modeler 6 (pdf link) software. We found that we only needed one pair of Bose Panaray® 402® loudspeakers (pdf) were needed for the main system. The speakers were suspended by cables (see picture above) from the ceiling.

At less than two feet tall and weighing only 15lbs, they are a pleasant alternative to the large black boxes seen in some rooms. Bose 402s have long been a workhorse of the Bose professional products line.

"Thanks so much!"

The adjoining Fellowship Hall uses a distributed system. The speakers used are Bose Model 16 (pdf)s, shown to the right.

We used a wall mounted steel rack for installation and security of the system electronics. The rack includes a Shure wireless mic, A Shure DFR digital signal processor, A Bose speaker controller, a fellowship hall sub mixer and a Crown powered mixer.

The same rack controls the church and adjoining hall systems. Although this rack looks similar to others shown on our web site, the equipment in it allowed both systems to share the electronics. This was crucial in keeping the price of the system within the customers budget. The comments in quotes lets us know that the customer appreciated our efforts.
