Almost every room we do has certain challenges. We must consider the comprise of the Architects design, the resulting shape and acoustics, the special requirements of the customer and the performance expected of the sound system.

The increased expectations of a modern sound system have put great pressure on the ability of the sound system designer to accurately predict the performance of a sound system before it is installed. The advent of advanced computer modeling has not only helped with that process but has now allowed us to demonstrate the finished product to the customer.

The accuracy of Bose Modeler software has given us a huge advantage over other sound system designers. No other product can come close to the accuracy and quality of it's predictions.

Jeff designs all of our sound systems. His extensive training and award winning designs have made him one of the elite Bose sound system designers in any private business.

 
One of the many features of this sound system is the "Steered Bass Array" show to the right. In a typical full range system most of the bass energy emanates in an omni directional pattern from the bass speakers. In this system, by spacing the bass speakers in the proper configuration and electronically adjusting the audio signal, we were able to concentrate the bass energy in the seating area.

This dramatically reduces feedback and results in much better sound quality.

Of course, the main reason we install Bose products is because of the consistency and quality of the sound. Almost all Bose speakers are very similar in sound. This factor is often not given the importance it deserves.

It allows us to use different sized Bose speakers for different sized rooms and coverages. Any overlap of these areas always result in smooth even sound.

A 48 channel mixing board is used for regular services and their Choir, Bell Choir and special Praise services. Locating the mixer in the actual field of sound works so much better than the control room approach.

While a mixing console this big is too complicated for some users there is no doubt about it's effectiveness when a full time sound operator is available.

 

In most of the rooms we do the challenge is the same. Design and install a sound system that will meet the customers needs regardless of the room size and shape. This particular room was unsymmetrical and highly reverberant. Our computer model and subsequent Auditioner demonstration showed the customer where acoustical treatment was needed.

The finished product was a custom design (as are all of our sound systems) that was made for their space.
