A pair of Bose 502 Panaray speakers were used. They are
barely visible in this installation. The speakers were hung
with aircraft cable and aimed according to the Bose Modeler
computer program co-ordinates.
As the system was to be used for mostly speach, no sub
woofer was needed in this system.
Crown power amplifiers are used in almost ALL of our installations.
A Marantz dual tape deck was used. It was wired to allow recording
of services and to serve as a sound source fo soloists and other
playback uses.
A "Listen" brand hearing assistance system was installed
to help those that have impaired hearing. These systems sound drastically
better than early versions by other manufactureres.
A Telex wireless lapel mic was installed for cordless hands free
operation.
The ceiling speakers used for the Narthex
are Bose Model 32s. These speakers sound similar to the 502
Panarays that are used for the main sound system. This creates
seamless and smooth coverage when going from one room to the
other.
A Toa 8 channel mixer was used. The simple and ultra-reliable
TOA mixers are a mainstay in simple systems.
A 1/3 octave EQ was set using a real time analyzer and pink noise
generator was used to make permanent settings.
