St Philip Litchfield

St Philip was new construction. As usual, we did a room model using BOSE Modeler software to aid in the sound system design. It also allowed us to consult with the customer about the acoustics of the room.

We take pride in not only the way the sound system performs but also in the aesthetics of the speakers and controls in the building. The Bose 402 speakers (only 15 lbs each!) we used were suspended with 1/4 inch cables. They hold the speakers in mid air. The white speakers (they can be painted any color) are barely visible.

Smaller Bose 102 speakers were used in areas that are not covered by the main speakers. The 402 and 102 speaker cabinets use the same proprietary 4.5-inch full-range drivers making a seamless transition from one are to another.

The steel, lockable equipment rack is permanently mounted in a storage room. This rack includes the power amplifiers, the Bose system controllers, A Shure DFR digital signal processor and Shure ULX wireless mics.

The rack shown to the left is a portable rack with a locking roll top and heavy duty casters. This rack can be rolled out into the main sanctuary. A multi-conductor cable attaches through a special connector to allow the use of this rack for special services.

A Peavey 14 channel Sanctuary series mixer allows manual or automatic control of individual mic channels.

Cassette and CD players are included in this portable unit.

Bose 402 Panaray speakers. No subwoofers were used in this system.

The folks at St Philip's will be adding an expansion of their social hall. The sound system we designed and installed for them has provision for covering this new space.
