This coverage map predicts the direct field coverage of your proposed sound system. This helps us ensure that the system will provide even sound coverage throughout the seating area. Each listener must receive sufficient amounts of the higher frequencies known to be critical for speech clarity. |

For the purposes of determining the quality of the coverage, it is the standard deviation which is most important. The standard deviation corresponds to the range of likely sound pressure levels about the mean. As a rule, if the standard deviation is 3dB or less, we can expect very even coverage of the the seating area. |
